About the house
LUXEMBOURG'S HAUTE GOURMANDISE SINCE 2005
Genaveh handcrafts gourmet chocolates from its small workshop in Steinfort, Luxembourg.
Iconic in the Grand Duchy, the house owes its reputation to its delicious chocolates: more than 80 varieties that have been created to satisfy the most discerning palates!
Founded in 2005 by Geula Naveh and taken over in 2017 by the young entrepreneur Alexandra Kahn, the chocolate factory has the particularity of being essentially feminine and very audacious. Some would say that you can feel it in the generous delicacy of its chocolate or in the creativity of its recipes. This is how the chocolate factory goes through time with the ambition to offer more and more delicacy and pleasure.
ALEXANDRA KAHN, THE NEW SIDE OF GENAVEH.
At just 29 years of age and after a career in international management and finance, the new owner of the chocolate factory is returning to her first passion and, since 2017, has been giving a new boost to this jewel of craftsmanship. After several training courses with famous names in pastry making, Alexandra fell under the spell of the chocolate factory, its delicacies and also its craftsmen. It is therefore together with her young team of chocolatiers that Alexandra keeps the essence of the House while adding her touch of originality and modernity.

A VERY HAND-MADE FEMININE TOUCH
The whirlwind of feminine craftsmanship creates all the generosity of our chocolates and makes them so greedy and smooth.
If the artisanal know-how of the house is at the origin of its fame more than fifteen years ago, it is with the arrival of Alexandra Kahn that the chocolate factory crosses the Luxembourg borders.
When she took over the house in 2017, Alexandra had only one wish: "to democratise high quality chocolate to satisfy palates all over the world". A huge challenge that she tries to keep up by breathing a fresh, modern wind into the chocolate factory.
At Genaveh, the manufacture of chocolates is based on the Franco-Belgian. While the Belgians mould chocolate shells which they then garnish, the French cut out squares of ganache or praline which they coat and decorate. Our proudest achievement is the combination of these two techniques, all done by hand! On the one side, Vera and Ana make thin chocolate shells filled with delicious praline, ganache or caramel, on the other, Kelly first vibrates the moulds before coating them very lightly to work the decoration better afterwards.
METICULOUSLY SELECTED INGREDIENTS
The house favours local products such as honey and cream, which proudly wear the Luxembourg colours. The hazelnuts come from Piedmont in Italy and the chocolate is carefully selected for its renowned origins.
Sensitive to our customers' tastes, we do not hesitate to travel to our nearest regions to find new ingredients or to bring them closer to our workshop. A hint of sesame, fleur de sel or pistachio, there will only be limits once your greed has been satisfied!
